One of a series of 3D digital and mixed media artworks that juxtapose signifiers of wealth and privilege with images of environmental destruction and exploitation in the mining of rare earth, worldwide.

Artist Michael Davis maintains a studio in San Pedro, California. He exhibits his art and creates public art installations in the U.S. and abroad. He has received two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, the Hand Hollow Arts Fellowship, and an AIA Award of Excellence.
